Every year the team at Black Forest Distillers lead by Christoph Keller seek out a different rare botanical, or species rara, to add to their signature recipe to create the famous Monkey 47 Distiller's Cut.

This edition is the 14th in the series and features Wild Crab Apple (Malus sylvestris), forged from the edges of the Black Forest, as the 48th botanical.
