REFUNDS AND RETURNS POLICY

Last updated: 10 June 2026

The Whisky Source specialises in vintage, discontinued, collectible and secondary-market spirits. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.

Consumer Cancellation Rights

If you are purchasing as a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within fourteen (14) days of receiving your Goods without giving any reason.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us by email at mail@thewhiskysource.co.uk within the cancellation period.

Once you have notified us of your decision to cancel, you must return the Goods within fourteen (14) days.

You are responsible for the cost of returning cancelled Goods unless otherwise required by law.

Returned Goods must be returned in the same condition in which they were supplied, including all original packaging, presentation boxes, inserts, accessories and documentation.

We may make deductions from any refund to reflect any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the Goods.

Refunds will be made to the original payment method within fourteen (14) days of receiving the returned Goods or satisfactory evidence that they have been returned.

Collectible Spirits and Condition

The Whisky Source specialises in vintage and collectible spirits. Many products are several decades old and may exhibit characteristics consistent with age, storage and handling, including:

• label wear;

• label creasing;

• label staining;

• scuffs and scratches;

• capsule wear;

• wax imperfections;

• cracked wax seals;

• damaged presentation boxes;

• dented tubes;

• packaging wear;

• faded packaging; and

• fill-level variation consistent with the age of the bottle.

Such characteristics are not defects and do not affect authenticity or drinkability.

We do not offer refunds, replacements or compensation for cosmetic imperfections, age-related wear or other characteristics accurately shown in photographs or disclosed before purchase.

Damaged Goods

Please inspect Goods promptly upon delivery.

If you believe Goods have been damaged during transit, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Customers making a transit damage claim must retain:

• the bottle;

• all original internal packaging;

• all original external packaging; and

• any damaged presentation boxes, tubes or inserts.

We may request photographs, video evidence or other reasonable information to investigate a claim.

Customers must not dispose of, alter, empty, consume, repair or otherwise interfere with the Goods pending investigation of a transit damage claim.

Authenticity Concerns

We take reasonable care to source Goods from reputable suppliers, collectors, distributors, retailers and auction houses.

If you have any concern regarding authenticity, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Customers must not consume, alter, open, rebottle, relabel or otherwise modify Goods while an authenticity concern is being investigated.

Trade Customers

Customers purchasing Goods in the course of business are not entitled to consumer cancellation rights.

Trade Customers must inspect Goods immediately upon delivery.

Any claim relating to transit damage, shortages, incorrect Goods or delivery discrepancies must be notified to us in writing within twenty-four (24) hours of delivery.
