Founder, The Whisky Source

An alumnus of the University of Edinburgh, Robert began his career in the whisky industry in 2010 at Milroy's of Soho before joining Hedonism Wines, where he developed a deep understanding of the market for rare and collectible spirits.

Recognising that many of the most desirable whiskies never reached the conventional retail market, he founded The Whisky Source in 2017, an independent specialist helping collectors acquire exceptional bottles.

Today, through a trusted network of private collectors, specialist merchants and trade suppliers, The Whisky Source specialises in sourcing some of the world's rarest and most collectible bottles on demand, while also offering a carefully curated selection available for immediate purchase. Every enquiry is handled personally by Robert, from the first conversation through to delivery.

Sixteen years in the industry have also given Robert the opportunity to learn from many of the whisky industry's most respected figures, including Willie Phillips (The Macallan), Richard Paterson (The Dalmore), David Stewart (The Balvenie), Colin Dunn (Diageo), Rachel Barrie (Glenmorangie & GlenDronach), Angus MacRaild (Whisky Sponge) and Sukhinder Singh (The Whisky Exchange).
