1977 Macallan 29 Year Old Single Cask Douglas Laing

Producer tasting notes:
Carrying initially a light, dry, fruity and floral - (rather aperitif in style) nose - it warms, given time, to something more honeyed, aromatic and gristy. The palate is hazel nutty, still light but also now brown-sugared, spicy with vanilla and barley both developing. Thereafter the finish is smoky, toasted, dry, being minty late - almost cold.

A limited edition of 247 bottles released around 2006 exclusively for The Whisky Shop. Presented with a numbered certificate of authenticity signed by Fred Laing.
