1975 Ardbeg 30 Year Old Douglas Laing's Old & Rare

Ardbeg - check. 30 years old - check. Single cask - check. Cask strength - check. We have nothing more to say on the matter!

Here's the back story... In the 1990's (ie pre-LVMH ownership) there was an official Ardbeg 30 Year Old (you know, with Guaranteed Very Old on the label...) which although it was a very good whisky, was only bottled at 40%. In other words... diluted to the legal minimum strength. At this age, Ardbeg is crying out to be bottled at higher strength and it was left to a handful of independent bottlers who had casks in their own warehouses to show the world what Ardbeg could really do.

Step up Douglas Laing, who have released this as part of their Platinum Old & Rare series which encompasses their finest and rarest single malts.

This bottle includes a certificate of authenticity from Douglas Laing.
